National Accessibility Week
May 27 - May 31, 2024
ILSM plans to celebrate the contributions of the 6.2 million Canadians who have a disability this year by fundraising and planning some amazing activities. ILSM has been serving the Sudbury and Manitoulin Districts for over 20 years. Our organization provides recreation, leisure, learning and employment options to those with disabilities to help them remain independent.

Monday
Challenges
Awareness
We hope the Mayor and Council will use a wheelchair for a set number of hours to increase awareness of the challenges that those with disabilities face on a day-to-day basis.
Tuesday
BBQ & Bake Sale
Barbeque and Bake Sale at 125 Durham Street Starts at 10 am.
Wednesday
Our fundraiser will have everyone walking, wheeling, or riding from 125 Durham Street to Queens Athletic Field. We have invited other disability charities and organizations to join us for this fun event at 1 pm.
Thursday
This bring your own chair event will be a double feature including the documentary ADAPTATION directed by one of our own members: Jake Thomas. The second movie will be Spiderman - Homecoming. Begins at Sundown!
Friday
Many organizations have signed up to participate in this activity and will be setting up information booths informing the public about their organizations along with a carnival game. From 10 am to 2 pm.
